Biosphere, Geir Jenssenm, is well known for his "arctic ambient" style, his use of music loops, and peculiar samples from sci-fi sources.His 1997 album Substrata, mixing chilling atmospheric tones with ambient samples of ice, snow, forests and Norwegian radio broadcasts from the artist's homeland, is generally seen as one of the all time classic ambient albums.

I like 'As The Sun Kissed The Horizon' purely for the aeroplane sounds, but the 'Shenzhou' album is also pretty good... Nice blog.
